Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between SIP Trunk and Cloud PABX?

SIP Trunk connects your own PBX (3CX, Asterisk, Mitel…) to the public network. Cloud PABX is a hosted PBX at Boxis: no hardware to manage, IVR and queues included.

Are minutes included in the pack?

No. The base price does not include minutes. Two per-channel bundles: Switzerland (500 fixed + 100 mobile at CHF 22 excl. VAT/channel) or Switzerland + Europe + USA (1,000 + 200 at CHF 44 excl. VAT/channel). In unlimited channels mode, 10 Switzerland + Europe + USA volume bundles (from CHF 22 excl. VAT/month). Without a bundle: pay-as-you-go billing.

Is web hosting really included?

Yes. Every pack includes Personal hosting (1 site, domain, SSL, daily backups). Ideal for your showcase site or landing page.

Can I port my existing numbers?

Yes. Enable « Keep my existing numbers »: single-number porting at CHF 1 excl. VAT/month + CHF 35 one-time fee per number, or DDI block porting (10, 50 or 100 consecutive numbers) with CHF 324 one-time fee then monthly block rates per Boxis pricing.

What internet speeds are available?

100 Mbit/s is included in every pack. You can upgrade to 500 Mbit/s, 1 Gbit/s or 10 Gbit/s depending on eligibility at your address. Check available speeds in the configurator before subscribing.

Can I add Exchange SE mailboxes?

Yes. Hosted Exchange SE is available as an option at CHF 6.90 excl. VAT/month per mailbox (25 GB, OWA, ActiveSync, shared calendars). Basic web hosting remains included separately for your website.

Do I need the Boxis router?

No, it's optional. Standard support is always included. Managed support (+50 / +100 / +300 CHF excl. VAT/month) requires a Boxis-supplied MikroTik RB4011 (CHF 219 setup, optional WiFi +56).

How does 4G/5G backup work?

Optional LTE/5G SIM backup subscription at CHF 20 excl. VAT/month (unlimited data included). Automatically activated by our systems on primary line failure. MikroTik device from CHF 89–349 excl. VAT (one-time).

Standard vs managed support?

Standard support is included on every pack: business-hours assistance, no guaranteed SLA. Managed support (+50 / +100 / +300 CHF excl. VAT/month) adds proactive supervision, priority fixes and SLAs — only with a commissioned Boxis router. Professional and Enterprise require LTE/5G backup.
