Overview

This tutorial will show you how to view and edit your contacts and recent calls using your Cisco IP 8800 phone.

 

Directories

The Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series provides you with access to contacts using the Personal and Corporate directories. To view these directories, press the Contacts button.

Personal Directory

The Personal Directory will allow you to access your Personal Address Book and Fast Dials. You can set up and maintain your Personal Directory using your phone, or by using your Self Care Portal webpages.

Corporate Directories

The Corporate Directory will allow you to access employee names and phone numbers. You can search for a co-worker’s last or first name, and then dial that number from the Corporate Directory.

The Corporate Directory will allow you to access employee names and phone numbers.

Expected result

  • The product behaves as described in each step (connectivity, message, or UI state).

If something goes wrong

  • Repeat the step and check for typos (hostnames, passwords, ports).
  • Note the exact error message or screenshot.
  • Open a ticket in the Boxis client area with the service name, time of the test, and any trace (e.g. traceroute) if it is a network issue.
