On 29 July 2026 at 10:55:04 CEST, a critical alert was raised on border router br1 at datacenter GEN01, causing network disruptions.

Our network team restored the device and manually withdrew routing through this router. Initial diagnosis: a 10G SFP+ module was (and continues) flapping UP/DOWN.

Traffic via this router has been removed from the production routing path. Services have been stable again since 11:01:59 CEST.

An engineer is on site to replace the defective SFP+. We will post further updates as work progresses.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

  • Identified — Device recovered; routing via br1 disabled manually. Root cause: 10G SFP+ module flapping UP/DOWN. Traffic diverted away from this path.

  • Monitoring — Services are stable again since 11:01:59 CEST. An engineer is on site replacing the defective SFP+. We will keep you informed of progress.

  • Update — Defective SFP+ 10G module on border router br1 (GEN01) replaced on 29 July 2026 at 12:42:23 CEST; link is UP. We are now re-enabling routing instances / paths and will monitor route tables and BGP convergence closely.

  • Resolved — Defective SFP+ 10G on br1 (GEN01) was replaced at 12:42:23 CEST. Routing instances were re-enabled; all BGP sessions are Established and the network is stable. Optical link and route monitoring completed successfully. Incident closed.
