Standard porting process takes approximately 15 business days from document submission.
Ensure your numbers meet the requirements for porting to Boxis. Follow these guidelines to ensure a smooth porting process.
Phone numbers must be active and in your possession until the porting date. The contract with your current operator can already be terminated, but the porting date must be set before the contract end date.
Fees for ported phone numbers must be paid in advance for the first 12 months from the porting date. If you port your numbers to another operator during these 12 months, advance payments will not be refunded.
Multiple number blocks cannot be combined, and additional numbers cannot be added to existing blocks. Costs are defined according to the composition of blocks from your current operator. A DDI/BusinessLINE block consists of at least 10 consecutive numbers and cannot be separated. For porting part of a block, you must separate them with your current operator before sending us the porting authorization.
A BusinessLINE TAG number (special connection) is treated as a special number and billed by Swisscom as a DDI block.
Follow these steps to port your phone numbers to Boxis. The entire process typically takes approximately 15 business days.
Open a Boxis account. Ported phone numbers will be connected to the following account: Client number and Boxis login email address.
Complete the porting documents and send them to porting@boxis.net at least 15 days before the desired porting date. Boxis will confirm the definitive porting date by email no later than 7 days before the porting date.
You will receive an invoice. One-time porting fees and fees for the first 12 months of phone numbers must be paid before the porting date.
On the porting day, interruption of incoming calls may last from a few minutes to a few hours depending on how quickly your current operator routes communications to Boxis. You will receive an email to verify routing.
Select the porting option that best fits your needs. All options require proper documentation and advance payment.
Porting at the earliest possible date (date determined by Boxis). Documents must be received at least 15 days before the porting date.
Porting on your contract termination date. The porting date is determined by your current operator.
Porting on a specific desired date. An additional fee of CHF 150.- excluding tax is charged. The date must be validated by Boxis and documents must be received at least 7 business days before the desired porting date.
Number porting services are available but are not free. Contact us for detailed pricing information. Below are examples of porting fees and recurring fees.
Please note these important points during the porting process (15 days before the porting date).
If you withdraw or refuse a porting order that has already been confirmed, the total porting fees will still be charged. Attention: if a porting is cancelled from 3 days before the agreed porting date, additional costs will be charged.
Your ported phone numbers are routed by Boxis from the moment the porting is completed. Boxis becomes your contact partner.
According to OFCOM, the first operator that put your ported numbers into service remains the official owner of the numbers. If you do not renew your ported numbers, they will be returned to the original operator by Boxis.
If you port to another operator, you must comply with the conditions of the new operator. However, advance payments made will not be refunded.
